Quick Answer
EU Students
All students studying in a UK university are expected to pay tuition fees to meet the cost of their education with the exception of those on very specific professional courses. Government regulations set the criteria for the University to identify students who are required to pay full-cost fees, normally all students whose country of origin and domicile is outside the European Union (EU). Students who are nationals from an EU member state and meet the UK government criteria will be charged in the same way as British nationals resident in England.
For further information about fees and funding for EU students please visit the European Union students web pages. |
Overseas (non-EU) Students
All Overseas students studying at a UK University are expected to make the full contribution towards the cost of their education. There is no subsidy from the UK Government to Higher Education Institutions to cover the teaching costs for Overseas students. This is available only for those students who meet the criteria of a Home/EU student. The exact amount you are required to pay for your tuition fee will be stated on your offer letter which you will receive after you have applied to study and been successful.
